Seminar e-learning tool users Superquinn win E-Learning Age award
10 November 2007 Information Transfer and Superquinn have been awarded the prestigious E-Learning Age award for ‘Best Project Securing Widespread Adoption’. This is the second year in succession that Information Transfer – the creator of e-learning authoring tool Seminar Author – has taken top prize in this hotly contested category. Using Seminar Author and guidance from Information Transfer, the Irish supermarket chain, Superquinn created more than 25 on-line modules and assessments that were made available to more than 4,000 colleagues in all 23 Superquinn stores. “We’re very pleased for Superquinn and for the Information Transfer team,” said Rick Handy of Seminar. “Superquinn joins a long list of Seminar authors who are succeeding in implementing e-learning all around the world.” The judges commended the project for ‘doing the right things in the right way to achieve widespread adoption … adopting a strong learning brand, clever targeting and communications planning’. They were impressed by the users’ very positive views of the programme. "We're enormously pleased to have been recognised for this collaboration," said Debbie Ganz, the Information Transfer consultant responsible for spearheading the project. "Superquinn has been great to work with. We've all put in a tremendous amount of effort, and their enthusiasm and commitment have been fantastic. And to win the award for a second time confirms the value Information Transfer brings to such projects." Information Transfer and Superquinn received their E-Learning Award from Phil Green, Chairman of the eLearning Network, at the Park Lane Hotel, Mayfair, on 8 November, at a ceremony co-ordinated by e.learning age Magazine and the eLearning Network. The awards celebrate the best industry has to offer and competition was fierce, with nearly 50 projects shortlisted for the 11 awards this year. |
