E-learning for Knight Frank
6 October 2006 Leading property consultancy Knight Frank has commissioned Information Transfer to develop bespoke content and has selected the Seminar Knowledge Centre e-learning management system as its online training platform. Knight Frank has large numbers of staff in regional offices and has to bear the expense of bringing them to central training sites for compliance training in a growing number of regulated areas. In order to tackle this problem, they took the decision to support their compliance training programme with a web-based solution. Following exhaustive research of the market, they chose to work with Information Transfer to develop bespoke content and deliver it via the Knowledge Centre to their staff throughout the UK. The Seminar Knowledge Centre is a web-based application which provides a powerful channel of communication, managing a library of information and training to support the firm's staff in their work. "It is an ideal medium for delivering training to employees right across the UK," said Nicholas Clayton, Information Transfer's Senior Partner. "Staff with access to the internet or the firm's Intranet simply log in to their personal training page to run e-learning programmes and view their progress records." In addition, the tool makes it easy for managers to upload training modules, assign courses, track scores and easily demonstrate compliance to the regulators, he said. The Seminar Knowledge Centre software is designed to deliver all kinds of information and communication material: bulletins, updates, reports, presentations and brochures - in fact anything that a property consultant might find helpful or interesting - in any format: Word, PowerPoint, PDF, Flash, weblinks, spreadsheet, audio or video. The property firm is now optimising its training budget by developing a library of material to ensure that all staff have access to the latest best practice training. |
